I thought of these on the top of my head, so they may not be that good, but I want to know which of these sounds the best.

#1:

Perched on the top branch
The singing bird cries softly
Deadly sweet chorus

#2:

Perched on the top branch
The singing bird cries softly
Offering its soul

#3:

Perched on the top branch
The singing bird cries softly
Music to my ears

Oh, and these are haikus, which means that the first and last line has to have 5 syllables, and the second one has 7.

"Japanese culture":
Perhaps the most laughable
Oxymoron e'er.

The first is simply too utterly random.
The second one is alright, decent transition.
Third is a tad too cheesy for my likes.

No point in spreading your hate for no reason. When someone asks you what you think of Japanese culture, tell them. But, it's immature to blurt it out every chance you get. :P

@Kinetic: I like the middle one as well.

It was my awesome haiku.

And it would've been doubly effective if Kinetic was a Jap.

Annnnd, I don't see why it being supposedly immature would stop me.

True.
