Does anyone know of any good anime shows to watch other than the most common of Yu-gi-oh and fullmetal and that other on gundam I think it is. I'm trying to find some that are actually in japanese but have the subs in english so you can understand it. I already know of A I R anyone know any others?

I also was wondering if anyone knew any good mangas, I've already found a couple such as Pure-Pure and Psychic Academy. Anyone have any more suggestions for that one too?

(yes yes I know I should have put the manga in the manga portion of the forums but I just wanted to put it all together so I wouldn't forget...okies? OKIES!!!)

Well I'll give you two that should keep you occupied for a while.

one new one is Samurai Shamploo. The other is Inuyasha. They're both really awesome series. :)

ummm well theres this funny show im currently wacthing called The Meloncoly of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Shuffle, and .Hack Rooots, And Monster,and Sgt Frog, I only wacthed the first epsoide of Digimon Savers-----ok Comey are the first two with SGT frog, Monster - horror, the other two speech for them selves

I kinda have a thing as I said for the subs...so preferably one that's not said in the english version...but has the sublins...do I make anysense...or am I just repeating myself? o.o But english version is fine as well.

ive never seen it but the fan base is... well they annoy me what can i say.
the series is kinda weird. and it has a fewplot holes... oh well if you like it you like it.
oh and by the way
since your watching FMA and yu gi oh i recomend you re watch it as imported.

dragon ball z is the same way
most animes that you see on TV are very different when they are put into dubs or put on for kids
when they put in dubs they can change the modd from normal to comedic. but when they put it on for kids they will literally cut out every scene with blood and replace it with dubbing talking or flash scenes, such as throwing ninja stars a lot.
if you read shonen jump and you've read the yu gi oh in there the story is very different
that might just be that its a manga, but the story ha a lot mre to do with his powers and the whole back plot then in the tv series.


i recomend evangelion neon genesis if your brain is ready for it.

I will always recommend Bleach. Especially if you want to get into it before it becomes a craze in America once it gets on Adult Swim in the fall.

It isn't even dubbed yet... so if you go onto youtube.com and type in the search "Bleach 1", "Bleach 2", "Bleach 3".... "Bleach 86" and so on. Simply Bleach and the episode number.

I ended up watching them all in a week. A good system to use is to start letting the next episode download while you are watching the previous one. 86 is currently the last episode that has been subbed. The serise isn't even finished in Japan.

Sailor Moon is always a classic too ^_^
And Outlaw Star... I adore that anime as well. The it is one of the better animes when it is dubbed (though still great in Japanese).

well ok sry but i gotta say this some i love outlaw star it is the 5th best anime in my book after fma and gundum wing yu-gi-oh import is also wzay friggin better and of coures i must suggest ghost in the shell and GTS stand alone complex dont bother sein GTS 2 it sucked so bad personly GTS is the # 1 anime to me mainly cause of the fact it wus my first next is Neon Genisis Evangilion then gundum wing and outlaw star and by the way has does any one else think the adult swim line up is startin to suck on the weekdays the good shows come on las and they have all that bull in front saturday is great but they sho too many reruns these daysoh well maybe its juyst me huh thinkin know im gonna post a topic about firts animes well i need to stfu lol im tlkin to much

Yes i agree with RPG-Masterz, G.T.O is a must wacth anime, u could wacth Hellsing, Gungrave,The whole entire Tenchi Series,i hear that Fruits Basket is a good anime even though i havent wacthed it, i hear Crono Crusade is good also but havent wacthed it, and now i need to think of more good animes ive heard of

Hellsing is another great one if you like action anime that is geared towards males. It isn't your typical vampire story.

Fruits Basket is good if the person into -hints- of yaoi, every guy being bishonen, and a whole lot of "cute". If you like that, or can get around it, I highly recommend it. The storyline is good. I could go into a whole review about it, but I'll save that for the proper place.

that is why I said -hints-... ^^; I don't really enjoy yaoi animes either (though Gravitation I do like, the soundtrack is one of the best).

I was afraid what I said may be confusing. No, Fruits Basket is -not- a yaoi by any means, but it is joked about a lot in the anime. This is most likely because of how "cute" the anime is.

I guess it is harder to explain than I thought -_-;

However, the thing I want to get across is that it is a very good anime if you like that style. It appears to be geared more towards females due to it being full of comedy, cuteness, and guys a person may consider to be "hot" or "sexy" or "cute" or whatnot.

I liked Fruits Basket. It made me laugh and it has a pretty good underlying message.

The ones I've seen and would recommend are: Shuffle (harem anime with light humour), Monster (brilliant horror- 3 seasons long, though), Berserk (quite violent, not everyone's cup of tea, but highly engrossing storyline), Higurashi no naku koro ni (a bizarre horror story, which can be mildly violent), Noir (about two female assasins- very mild and with a nice plot), Neon Genesis Evangelion (the ultimate in screwed up plots. Big robot things piloted by kids- this one has everything), Love Hina (harem anime with very... unique characters!), The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (crazy tale about growing up. Foundation of 'Haruism' and the dance craze to sweep the nation(s)), Excel Saga ( a plot that makes no sense, characters that make no sense and random cameos from the production staff, the great will of the macrocosm and just about every genre of anime ever. See also Bo-bobobo-Bobo-bobo for similar levels of insanity), Azumanga Daioh (a very cute tale about growing up told through the lives of 7 high school girls. VERY CUTE!), Paniponi Dash ( a cross between the previous two, in that it's nuts and about high school girls. not for those who are unwilling to watch it twice to comprehend it), Trigun ( one of the coolest anime ever- this tells of humanity's struggle to survive in a distant future where people have devolved to a Wild-West society) and finally Hellsing (take an unstoppable vampire, a mysterious organisation and a brilliant soundtrack and you have Hellsing. The Re-make will be released at the end of this year too). Manga of all of the above are also recommended, as is the simply awesome GTO (which I haven't seen the anime to yet). Have fun!!!

Here's some good ones: (most have prob been mentioned before lol)

Inuyasha

FLCL (aka fooly cooly)

Green Green (VERY funny and VERY ecchi)

Eureka Seven (only watched a couple of episodes but it looks good)

Trigun ("Love and peace!")

Neon Genesis Evangelion (personally i hate this one after watching the ending but some ppl love it, it does have some good parts)

Cowboy Bebop (great anime, space traveling, gun fighting, sword swinging outlaws.)

Samurai Champloo (a sword fighting anime with a few modern touches, from creators of Bebop)

Outlaw Star (haven't seen this in a while, but it is a great space-outlaw-gun anime, kinda like Bebop in a way.)

Ruroni Kenshin/Samurai X (I've only seen Kenshin but Samurai X is about the same guy, just a prequel to R.K.; Great samurai anime with a well balanced blend of action and romance.)

Love Hina (one of my personal favs...) (This is about the hopeless romantic Keitaro Urashima and his life at a place called the Hinata House, where he has been left as manager by his grandma who owns the place. Now the only prob is that Hinata House is a GIRL's dorm...with several crazy ladies who aren't exactly pleased with the idea of a MALE manager. It is an extremly funny, yet also romantic anime that deserves to be watched by everyone here. haha! Seriously though, great stuff, I HIGHLY reccomend this one. However, I must note that the manga is 100x better than the anime in both art and storyline...but the anime is still really good. Lastly, Naru Narusegawa is my ABSOULUTE FAVORITE ANIME GIRL, SHE IS TEH ANIME GODDESS. hahaha!)
