Alright, as the title says and all of you with minds should figure it out.

Today is Constitution Day, and today in my American Government class we were watching this program they gave on 20/20 about Freedom of Speech. You know, the First Amendment of the Constitution and so on and so forth. Well, it was quite intresting really, it was basically showing how our Freedom of speech is slowly being taken away.

They gave several examples and such and my jaw literally dropped as I heard all of this. I knew about this, but now I'm like... Ugh.

Do you think your, and everyone elses, Freedom of Speech is being taken away by the "offended" or by the Government? Or both really? What do you think Freedom of Speech should be? Should be the right to burn down the American flag? Or something other than that.

I think it's mostly the "offended" people that are taking our rights away. America is the kinda country that just loves to change itself to please the few idiots that complain. It sickens me. If they don't like living here, then they should move somewhere else. F*ck them.

I still love it here, but our rights deserve to be kept. Our founding fathers made it that way for a reason, to be free. Dont fix what isn't broken. :P

Yes, those that are "offended", get the FRICK OVER IT. Everyone is too sensitive. Our freedom of speech rights are being taken away because people are stupid.

Normally I'd be writing something more technical and well thought-out but I'm currently listening to Aqua (the band that sings Barbie Girl) so my IQ has been dumbed down a bit.

i think the worst offenders are "Lazy Parents"
the kind of parents that let television babysit their kids instead of doing it themselves.
so when something comes on that they don't want their kids to see they run to the government to have it removed
it's unfair
i believe that the entertainment industry(ie.video gaming,music,movies,television)have done all that they can to make it safe and enjoyable for everyone!
on the station that i watch most of my anime there are warnings before every episode,not to mention the ratings that are on video games and music c.d.'s and if parents just got involved with what their kids are doing then there would never be any need to censor or ban anything.
i may not agree with everything that everyone will say but i will fihgt tooth and nail for your right to say it
