i'm only wondering if anyone else ever watched the series Elfen Lied....and if they did how did they feel about it?

I've seen the first few episodes. They were disturbing to say the least. It was good... but disturbing. Definitely not for anyone under 18.

It was awsome with all that blood(the deaths in it were cool) The story line is pretty good(i dont care about the nudity(the pictures in the being song were cool since those were actual pics but not with the actual lady (i saw the real art work)

i thought it was great story....but i had some problems with the violence....especially against the children and some of the nudity wasn't really necessary
but even so i couldn't stop watching it

I thought this was a very good anime and the violence in the, especially the first, episodes worked very well with the development of 'Lucy' throughout the series.

I'm 14, my cousin bought it, and I watched the first episode. I was like O.O but I couldn't stop watching it... I loved the story. Best anime EVER! 1 thing really upset me though... y did they have 2 kill the puppy... The puppy didn't do anything 2 them... stupid humans... Anyway it did a great job of showing how afraid humans are of a little difference. It also did a great job in showing how every single person has different emotions, and different ways of showing them. Go buy it! :P

Elfen Lied is one of my favorites, I really liked the story.

The Thin pak release comes out the end of this month, I can't wait it will finally be affordable

I got the thin pak at best buy for 31.99 last week, what a great deal.

But yeah I rewatched it all the way through for only the second time, it was even better the second time through.


It is just so well done, everything about it is beautiful, the animation, the story, the characters. I would go as far as too call it art.

you could download fan translated versions of the manga, but as of no company in the US has officially taken and translated it for release in the here.

calm down there chief, Elfen Lied is no anime movie its a 13 episode series, plus one OVA.

I guess that was a little weird, but its not like they were brother and sister, only cousins.

I am no scholar when it comes to this, but it seems as if in Japan cosuin marrying is less stigmatized. I will have to find some facts about this.

Here we go I found these numbers:
Fact: The frequency of cousin marriages in the USA is about 1 in 1,000

Fact: The frequency of cousin marriages in Japan is about 4 in 1,000

SO it would appear that it happens slightly more in Japan, but still not a huge amount.

I enjoyed Elfen Lied, the idea of the Diclonius and the Vectors were very very well done. I started watching the series when I was 14 and I've been hooked searching for the Manga.

The idea of Elfen Lied dips into alot of soical problems if you analyze the show but then that makes the blood and gore seem dull. Although the anime drifted completely away from the Manga like most do, although I can see the attempts to keep it within the Manga universe.

If I'm allowed to post the link I've up loaded Vol. 7 Chapter 69 to 71 of Elfen lied that I found. I'm also in the process of uploading the whole of Vol. 4 but its taking me a while. Since their is some mature subject matter within the comic I'll just wait before posting up the link.

...i like elfen lied...there are many moral lessons in that anime...though its gruesome and all...i liked the first 13 episodes...i thought the story would b tragic...but the 14th was disapponting...i didn't expect it to be lyk that...

LOL @ 14th episode. It's actually the 10th-and-a-half episode, fitting inbetween two other episodes to further illustrate the peacefullness of life at the inn. It's not supposed to be important in any real sense or relate that much to the plot.

My God! This anime is the greatest anime ever! I love how the important lessons go through, in the mind of Lucy and Nyuu, the storyline is tragic, but so very sad. The music is the best, and how the vectors and her species, Diclonus, are simply amazing, there's no other anime for me, I simply belove theis anime and cherish the fact I have every single episiode!!! XD
