well either owner of a camaro or mustang will NATURALLY say that about the other car since they have always been long time rivals. No matter what you say, the two have always been built in competition of the other. Plus you dont even give some decent info about your camaro. Much less what kind of race was it. Did you do a streetlight race against some middle aged guy who wasnt even trying? or maybe it was some kid who couldnt even shift properly on a manual tranny? Was it a modded vs stock race? So yeah, im calling you out on this one.

Street light races. Also, I dont know these people. You know they try when you hear the RPMs of the other car. You can't say they aren't trying when you can HEAR them rev the engine at the light, smoke tires, and hear the RPMS of their engine go past 5500. the first couple of times I raced mustangs like that I lost but after knowing my car a little better (and racing with full tranny fluid) it became easier...

1987 Z28 (TPI). Hollowed cat, no muffler. Positraction rear, 700R4 transmission (much more superior than Fords gay shit transmissions) no smog pump... no ac belt. I have an advantage over the newer mustang GTs off the line because the torque is equally distributed to both wheels. Mustang GTs can and will catch up when my car is in 4th gear, but their limited slip bullshit rear combined with their overly-power-governed trannys make them suffer big time off the line.... its actually kind of sad. They will catch up but they can't pass me. Those cars have a governor as well, so unless they fucked with the car they can't go past 105 MPH. My car easily goes 135-140.

Ive driven one, they do better at a 60 roll. They dont have much launch, though

I have been beaten many times, but I have won many times as well. (ive never lost against a riceburner lol) I lose against any supercharged mustang(duh)

However, stock GTs really dont give me much to worry about.

I like mustangs, actually. Putting aside the fact that I own a z28, I still respect them. I just know what they are about, and when they are stock, they kind of blow

also any driver that rips their tires apart at a light enstead of looking for good grip needs to be slapped a few times. They dont know how to race and shouldnt be even trying, esp on the local street. I definitely do not condone street racing, take it to the track and give me some time slips i say. Get more respect that way and you have proof.

The 85-89 Z28's/IROC-Zs are really good cars stock.

i was lucky to get a third gen with a TPI and not the crappy other third gen engines that were out (crossfire POS/H.O. 4 barrel/305 TBI)

TPI is known for its low end torque, and it is still to this day a killer torque intake setup.... not saying that its the best but it is damn good

ive always been a fan of the older camaros so i do have an idea on what your saying. Ever tried racing the 04Gts from a roll? Although their governor would kill em in the end i bet itd be a slightly different race.

Engine before body is my style, id rather have a shitty looking car that drives good than stylish car with shitty engine. So shows like "Pimp my Ride" really tend to piss me off. Plus to me, the guys on that show dont know SHIT bout cars and I always notice the cars they end up "pimping" always end up on ebay for some reason. Hmmm I wonder why. lol

Yes I have raced roll type races they do alot better lol they pull on me more. I do 40 rolls, 50s, and 60s

at a stoplight race however, I get them so bad off the line that they are unable to catch up
