Anyways, I'm not a fan of the revived Metallica, but I dig the old Metallica a lot. Especially their Cliff Burton years. (One of the greatest bassists of all time, by the by.) Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets are my two favourite Metallica albums, before they started going down the path of generic recycled garbage.

You know how everyone rants about how great the Black Album was? I didn't find it that great, actually, apart from a few songs like Enter Sandman, The Unforgiven (which holds a lot of meaning to me along with The Unforgiven II), Nothing Else Matters, Wherever I May Roam.

And even then, the latter two only rank as "decent" in my view.

Nevertheless, Metallica is way past their prime.

But to say that they "suck" in spite of all the great music they've produced throughout the years would be an overstatement, in my opinion.

The have 9 dudes in their band and you can only hear nothing but noise when they play, most of their musicians cant be heard.

The mask thing was a god-awful joke that made real metal bands like Death & Carcass shudder at the sight, was nothing more than a gimmick. Death & Carcass dress like normal people with jeans, and regular clothes on even on stage. Make you wonder if Slipknot is really just shock rock?

It is hard to even classify Slipknot as metal because it is so poorly put together, and how shitty they write/play that noise.

On-topic: Anything after Master of Puppets isn't really worth listening to, Enter the Sandman has to be one of the best songs ever though, so for that, Metallica only sucks a bit.
