i just picked these up from my library today and read them.

anybody else heard of em before?

its a 2 volume alternate version of the series... same characters (well the main 4 or so) but different stories by a different author

i really liked them :)

Just got them from the library too and read 1. I like ed in that version better (more femine to balance out the chlidish attitude.) but dislike spike (Too aggresive and doesn't seem like the orignal.)
Faya is eeeh in this series (drawing close but far away.) and jet is the same pretty much.
