NANA is an awesome manga--catered to the female crowd mostly. You get drama, complicated relationships, complex characters, and a view on how the entertainment world runs.

It's good enough... the style of drawing is a bit... shall we say, different? I don't really like it, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah, I have to agree that the art style is not too impressive, but that style is typically seen in other Shojo beat mangas. However, I tend to notice that a lot of good storyline manga/anime are ones that don't have stunning artwork. Can't really say that my findings are accurate, they're based on correlation.

I dunno... I've read plenty of Shojo Beat manga that has perfectly normal drawing.
And personally, I'm partial to the Shonen Jump storylines and drawings as a general rule.

My girlfriend likes the series. I kind of don't, the art style puts me off.

Haha, seriously I wished both Nanas would leave their boyfriends and get together.

I like it, both the manga and the anime, though Hachigo (I think this is the right spelling) annoys me. She's so damn clingy and stupid.
I must say that as far as the art style is concerned "Mars" does it a lot better. Actually...Mars is a lot better.

Nana is a very good, and somewhat addicting manga. I was very hooked in the first 8 volumes, but, as the story went on, things seemed to complicate a bit too much. There is a lot of drama, and a bit too much sex in the later chapters. It seems like you can't get through 2 pages without it being at least implied.

Yeah, that got really annoying. Rumors have it that the mangaka who wrote it wasn't haven't any sex when she got to that point in NANA, so she used the manga as a way to release tension.
I hate that the anime has been pretty much cancelled. I actually like it. But, I have always hated Nana (aka Hachigo). She's such an emo, needy, moron. >.<

Very true about Hachiko. She is quite immature, even at the older age when her child is 10 years old. But, in some ways, she's a bit cute.

I think the point of that comment was to mock Nana.
Hachi is extremely annoying and idiotic. I was glad when her fears actually came true and her man leaves her.

The rock star guy, or the guy whe went all the way to Tokyo for?
First one, that went with the ultra midget Sachiko.
On a somewhat related note, the girl who played the role of Sachiko in the live action movie is quite cute.
