Ohhhhhhh hell yea! Football is just around the corner. All teams have now reported to training camp and exhibition games will begin the first week of August.

My beloved 49ers are the trendy pick by a lot of experts to be one of the surprise teams for the season. I'm freakin' stoked.

Also, Bill Wash died at 75 this morning of Leukemia. =[

For those of you who don't know who he is or what he did for the game, he was a legendary coach. He led the Niners to 3 Super Bowls in the 1980's.

Few men did more to shape the look of football into the 21st century. His cerebral nature and often-brilliant stratagems earned him the nickname "The Genius" well before his election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993.

Raiders will be better this year. No way they can be worse than last year.

ohhhhhhhk. now that we're done with corey trying(and failing miserably) to be funny, here's some football news.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Frank Gore, the San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl running back, broke a bone in his right hand Monday during the first padded practice of training camp and might not play in the preseason.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp07/news/story?id=2955335

the article goes on to say he should be ready for the regular season. thank god.

CoreyBato
08-01-2007, 01:44 AM
Preseason doesn't matter much anyway. I mean, I can't count the number of times the Lions did good during the Preseason and then bombed during the Regular season. Frank not being able to play in Preseason will just give him time to better prepare for regular season. He should be a more effective player since the injury isn't too bad.

you dont dispute my claim that NE will win yet you called out my intelligence on the matter. You made it personal. I am in the military and your calling me a child? when you dont even know me? Nice job there bucko lol.

As for indy, i do admit ive had little to any interest in them from the beginning. Every team wins some and loses some, so what. I was stating that a team that may have won one superbowl isnt necessarily going to win again. Holding a superbowl title is much harder than winning their first. NE is already a great team, so when they face off against Indy, they will be playing much better than they are now because they know Indy will not be the normal pushovers.

Washington may surprise you. I'm rooting for them, but I think Seattle is going to win.

Giants over Tampa.

Jacksonville and Pittsburgh... TOUGHIE. Jacksonville just seems to be better... then again, Pitt's defense is so good they can stop Jacksonville's running game (which is doing so well).

I'm giving this to Pitt.

Tennessee may give San Diego a hard time. But, San Diego is doing really good right now. They finished the season strong after a weak start.
