Back in April (yes I know this is old news, but I hadn't seen the clip from Fox News), American author Kurt Vonnegut died, and one day after, Fox New, you know Fair and Balanced, runs this obituary...
http://youtube.com/watch?v=fnAaDEFk7Uk

They completely trash a fantastic author of the 20th century, throwing in sarcastic remarks, and little anecdotes like "he failed at killing himself 23 years ago" that do nothing but deride. Watch it and see for yourself, this is truly one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen on TV. Even if you disagree with the authors views, you don't completely trash him a day after his death, show some fucking respect, James Rosen and Fox News.

That "fair and balanced" obituary is a new all time low for Fox News.

i fail to see where he was "completely trashed." and if you think this is "truly one of the most disgusting things" you've seen on tv, you need to watch more tv.

while i have gripes with all the major news outlets, i'll take fox over cnn/msnbc/abc/cbs/nbc any day of the week.

"despondent leftism" "sci-fi mumbo jumbo" the parts they throw into there about how Vonnegut criticized Ronald Regan, constantly reminding the viewer that he was leftist, which to the fox is bad. Understating his impact on writing in the 20 century, open your eyes, that was a completely negative and disrespectful obituary.

like Shape, I don't exactly see much actual derision in there. the narrator dude said it was "admitted sci fi mumbo jumbo," and "unique despondent leftism." And as far as I can see, he did no more with the suicide bit than state it as a casual fact.

But for different reasons, I do agree with you--Fox News fails, hard.

i'll take fox over cnn/msnbc/abc/cbs/nbc any day of the week.

eh, I get my news from CNBC and the USA Today.

You people need to start realizing that none of the news you see on t.v. today is really what's going on out there. It's just best to ignore it completely. Stop watching it and stop getting hypnotized by the hypocrisy out there and being one of the billions of sheep who follow everyone else's opinions.
