Okay...I know I'm posting alot of stuff in the music section, but I listen to alot of it. What do you guys think of Chevelle? If you don't remember them, back in 2002 they had this song called 'Red' that came out to huge success. They have a new record entitled Vera Sera.

I've only been playing it for the past five years, I've only been involved in musical acts for the past three and my band only won second prize in the local battle of the bands last year.

No, I didn't. Greenday is a great band. Don't get me wrong, Billy Joe looks like a total fag now, but good band none-the-less.

Anduru has the right idea.
So what if Billy Joel uses them? From what I've seen him play, I can honestly say I feel I am a much better guitarist.
This is what I think of Fender and Gibson:
Fender is the average kid from a middle-class family who did well in life.
Gibson is the useless snob kid with rich parents.
Fender is Beethoven.
Gibson is Mozart.
While it is true that Gibsons have heavenly tone, they are simply way too overpriced and have become nothing but a name brand, even to those WHO CAN'T TELL TONE FOR SHIT.
That's what annoys me about Gibson.
And also the kind of comment you just gave. "Oh, but this artist plays it, so it MUST be good!"
I mean, what the fuck, unless you're going to devote yourself to covering that artist in the most meticulous of details, you are a dumbass.

...I just said that Billy Joe plays a damn Gibson! Get off my ass man! I'm not covering any Greenday songs, I want to write and perfom my own music, not someone else's. And chances are, yes you are a better guitarist than BJA.

Yes, someone who is on track with the post! Thanks, Wiseguy! Their one of my favorites too. I can't understand something thougj. Why did the bass player get fired? I thought all the members of Chevelle were brothers. I figure they could have worked out whatever problem they had.

Well, what happened was that Joe didn't like traveling. The other brothers said he should take time and be with his family. He said he wouldn't quit but he didn't want to do it anymore. They then decided that for him and said he was out of the band. I guess Joe wasn't too happy about it and now they're pissed at each other. Oh well.
But, they have some of the best music out there. I've been listening to them since back when they released their first album. :D

You mean Point #1? I never heard that one. I started out listening to them when they released Wonder What Happens Next. I'm excited about their new album Vera Sera. Though I gotta say Pete looks like a total chick with his hair all long like that. He should keep it short.
