Of all the .hack shows, I think .hack//roots is the most interesting. Its the first in the series in which the main character actually doesn't want to play in the World. I have only seen a few of the episodes but it is really good.

i liked hack.signs ....but i haven't seen this series

Yeah, .hack//signs was pretty good. But my only complaint about the series is that sometimes it can be a little boring.

Please don't tell me you thought .hack//sign was more boring that //roots ;-; I only finished //roots because I wanted to see how everything tied into //GU. Of course, volume 3 of //GU was horrible and I never finished it either..

vol. 3 wasn't horrible. the entire series was mediocre, but none were horrible. but if to only finish the series itself was a breath of relief. and you can't say the xth form wasn't fucking amazing. that itself could be made a game out of.

Yeah, that was cool and all, but I absolutely couldn't stand the story for the first half of the game...the dialog between characters was really..bad. After that the story just felt like it wasn't really going anywhere. I really enjoyed 1 and 2, but not 3.
