I wrote this one after my girlfriend and I split a few years back. It was a bit tough at the time and so you can see the reasoning behind some of the lines.
A Rose
Like a rose,
She's beautiful.
Like a rose,
Thorns so hurtful.
Like a rose,
Just as sweet.
Like a rose,
My heart did beat.
Like a rose,
She had me there.
Like a rose,
At her I stared.
Like a rose,
At me she glared.
Like a rose,
I wilted there.
Like a rose,
She did not care.

I know man. I have to get my newest poetry up there. There hasn't been much writing going on but that's only because I've been doing pretty good in life. lol

DUDE U are a VERY GOOD poem writer i cant do any of it cuz i never try ......BUt urs is very good

I'm sure you could do well if you just tried and took your time. It really just takes patience and effort. Emotion helps too. :)

Depends which kind of Poetry you like to write :) Theres a lot of themes.. and I find making a poem very hard :(

ooo I like. I think the repetition works quite well with this poem. Usually I don’t like poems that repeat the same line over and over, but it really works for this one.

Constructive criticism: some lines could be reworked to better capture the image of a rose.

Very sweet and emotional. It reminds me of drinking rose water. Its really sweet and tastes like roses. You should taste it sometime. Beautiful

One of my cats is names Rose.
