Hiya! My name is Ichigo! I’m 14 years old and live on Destiny Islands.
My best friends are Sora, Riku, and Kairi. But between you and me I like Riku as more than a friend. ^-^ But… I don’t think Riku likes me the way I like him. Well anyway, weird things have been happing on the island lately. Well not on the island, just with the people… mostly Sora. But Riku has his moments. Like the time all four of us were just sitting on the shore talking, and then Riku said that there are other worlds out there and stuff and we thought about seeing all of those worlds. Well I guess that wouldn’t count as weird.
“We should build something to get around in to see other places!” I suggested.
“Yeah!” Sora said in agreement. “We should make a raft!”
“That’s perfect!” I said. “When should we start?”
“Tomorrow, if that’s okay with everyone else,” Sora said.
Kairi nodded.
Riku said nothing.
“Riku?” I asked.
Still Riku said nothing. He just sat there.
“Is that okay with you?” Sora asked.
Riku slowly nodded his head. He must have been in deep thought.
“Okay,” Sora yawned getting of the shore. “I’m going home. Good bye!”
“Yeah it’s getting late,” Kairi said standing up and walking away to her home.
Then it was just me and Riku sitting next to each other on the shore with a beautiful island sunset in front of us.
“Aren’t you leaving too?” Riku said suddenly.
“No,” I replied. “I like watching the sunsets.”
The sun slowly dipped into the ocean and the moon took its place brining the stars.
“I’m really tired,” I said. “I better get back to my… place…”
I started to fall asleep in the sand. I felt someone pick me up and carry me.
“What’s going on? Who’s carrying me?” I thought. I opened one eye. I found out who was carrying me. It was Riku. I quickly closed my eye. I mean I didn’t want him to know that I was still awake!
“Riku’s carrying me! Riku’s carrying me!” I thought happily.
Riku laid me down on a couch.
He walked out of the room. (I could tell because I heard his footsteps grow fainter.)
I opened my eyes.
“This isn’t my house… Oh my god! I’m at Riku’s place! YES!!!”
Then Riku came back into the room.
“Riku!” I said surprised. “Um… Thank you for um…” I could tell I sounded like a moron.
Riku smiled. “You’re welcome,” he said.
I blushed.
Then I heard a bang.
“What was that?” I asked.
“I don’t know,” Riku said stepping out the door.
I got of the couch and followed him.
The sky was pitch black. I couldn’t see the stars or the moon. There was a giant circular thing in the sky also. And on top of that, little creatures with glowing yellow eyes were running around.
“R-Riku…” I said walking close behind him.
“Stay calm,” Riku said.
“O-Okay… I’ll t-try,” I said.
We walked toward the giant circular thing.
Then Sora showed up.
“Riku!” Sora said.
“The door has opened,” Riku said.
“What?” Sora and I said in unison.
“We can go to different places now. If we let this opportunity pass us by how will we know what else is out there?” Riku said.
“What is he talking about?”
Then two dark puddles surrounded Sora and Riku. They were sinking. Sora was trying to get out of the puddle he was in. Riku outstretched his arm and offered Sora help. Sora tried grabbing Riku’s hand but he fell into the puddle. Riku was almost submerged in the puddle he was in.
“If I let Riku sink… I’ll never see him again! I have to act!”
“RIKU!!” I yelled as I jumped into his puddle and clung to him.
Everything went black. That’s all I could remember.

“Riku…” I said softly as I woke up in an alley.
“Ichigo?” I heard Riku’s voice reply. “Are you okay?”
I sat up. And there Riku was. He was sitting right next to me.
“Riku! You’re okay!” I said as I hugged him.
“Yeah I know,” Riku said.
I let go of him and looked around. “Where are we?”
“Look at the sign,” Riku said pointing to a sign above our heads.
‘Traverse Town, 3rd district’ the sign read.
“Oh,” I said.
Then I heard a familiar voice.
“C’mon guys!” it said.
“Is that…” I said standing up.
“Hey Ichigo!” Sora said.
“Sora!” I said running over to him.
Then he grabbed my hand. And he wouldn’t let go.
“Uh Sora?” I said.
“I’m not dreaming!” Sora said happily as he let go of my hand.
“Yeah,” I said. “Hey Riku! It’s Sora!”
Riku walked over to us slowly.
“We’re all together again! Except for Kairi… Where is she?” I asked Sora.
“I thought she was with you!” Sora said.
“She isn’t sadly,” I said.
“Hey maybe you can with us!” Sora said.
“No!” a duck said.
“But they’re my friends!” Sora said. He turned away from us to argue with Donald.
“I don’t care!” the duck said sticking his beak in the air.
“C’mon,” Riku said grabbing my arm and walking into a dark alley.
“Wait what about Sora?” I asked.
Riku didn’t answer.
Pretty soon we came across a creepy looking lady.
“So you’re back,” she said.
“Riku…” I said. “Wh- who’s that?”
“Malificent,” Riku said.
“How long have you known this lady Riku?” I asked.
“Before you woke up,” Riku said. “She offered to help me.”
“Help you do what?” I asked.
“Find Kairi,” Riku said.
“Kairi? Can you really help us?” I asked Malificent.
“Yes,” Malificent said.
“That’s great! But… shouldn’t we let Sora know?” I said.
“No,” Malificent said quickly. “He has replaced you with those other things.”
“But…” I said. “Sora would never replace us.”
“He has now,” Malificent said.
Sora was laughing and smiling and stuff with that Duck and a goofy looking dog.
“I guess you’re right…” I said.
