so is double posting.
I loved planes as a child.
my favourite flight as a kid was those Warthogs.
Then I went into my Top-Gun phase and it was of course the F-14 Tomcat.
Now it has to be either the F-22 Rapier or the Blackbird.

I've liked the F-14 ever since I was little, before I had even heard of Top Gun. Although the F-111 (http://www.pbase.com/stevie_j/image/41145096) is pretty awesome too.
Also, the F-22 is the Raptor.

As I recall, they were named both at one point.
Actually, I still have a video game. F-22 Rapier (about a 10 year old game), featuring a Bosnia and Ukraine theatre. But that might have just been what the game called it, and not the definite military codename.
edit: by the by that f111 pic is fucking amazing.
edit v2: search google images for rapier f22
you get f22 rapier raptor, f22 rapier see xf-108, Kampfflugzeuge - F-22 Rapier,Lockheed Boeing F-22 Rapier ..., and lastly F-22 Viper Rapier
maybe just nicknames?

For a short while, the plane was also dubbed "SuperStar" and "Rapier".
My bad. Haha, SuperStar sounds gay.
BLUE ANGELS FTW.
I have a die-cast metal model of a Blue Angel F-18, but I've had it for years now and I still haven't finished the undercoat.

You should see it at night.
Australia's biggest airshow (where this picture was taken) is on in about a month, and I happen to live a ten minute drive away. If anyone wants any specific pictures of anything, let me know.

Oh god count me in in general. But if you happen to get any good shots of military/plain fighter jets that would be great. If you can get a live feed or a video recorder upload it to youtube.
I also have a die-cast Angels jet. And also quite a few of those formation portraits signed by each of the current pilots in the photo. Gah. This sparked my childhood love of good ol' aeroplanes.
edit: en.wikipedia.org "culminating in the flight test of two prototypes, the YF-22"
Lol. Going through my old case of games, I also have a game called YF-22. xD also from the same time period (windows 95 ftw)
