View Full Version : Ghost in the Shell 1 or 2?

Which is your favorite? I know Ghost in the Shell 1 is the cult classic but you know what, I found number 2 to be a lot easier to understand enjoyable to watch.
The first one was awesome and it was groundbreaking... but I just couldn't get into it like the second. What are your thoughts?

I liked the first one better than the second one i dont know why thogh they both were easy to understand and all but i perfer the first one over the second one

Well the understanding of the first one was much much more than the dialogue. There was so much hidden meaning behind everything. Everyone has to watch it at least a few times to get what's really being said in the dialogue.
I do find it funny that the matrix ripped it off. lol

well yeah thats going to happen since Ghost in the shell is a smart type of anime- and yes i dont like the way the matrix copid stuff from GTS

you cant compare them.
they arent really in the same category
i mean think abut it. one revolves around the whole concept of the anime and that is that there are souls in AI and the other is about fighting that soul/error.
personally i just loved the first becasue it was all so old school in its style, but then the second one kinda gave me a much better look into batou's point of veiw.

Naw, I'm just messin'. But, really. They're both really great movies in their own right.

mmmmm 2 sucked i always be a fan of 1 the seriers is pretty good too but 2 totally blew

Number 2 was an excellent anime with an amazing story plot. The animation was top notch and the voice acting was supurb.

hmmm ive only seen the first, so i cant really compare them, but i did really like it... *goes off to find gits 2 somewhere*

I like number 1 beter. Number 2 never failed to put me to sleep in the exact same place until I discovered that punching yourself in the face will keep you awake.

well i've only been able to see the first one. i wanna see the seond one... no such luck.

you do know that motoko dosent even come into the story except for a brief period near the end were shes a doll

i've never seen 1 or 2. all i have is the first season box set and the soundtrack. how are the movies?

Both movies r good for me. I enjoyed both of 'em a lot.
