I absolutely adore the Gorillaz! :D The best song ever done by them is, Feel Good Inc.! On You Tube, they have a video of the Gorillaz performing Live as their 2D selves. I think the song was....Feel Good Inc. :)

the only thing I find good about the The Gorrillaz is Damon Albarn being in the band.
If you didn't know Damon Albarn was and still is technically lead singer of 90's alternative brit pop band Blur.
and Blur is awesome.

I agree. :) On the bus, on my way home from high school, I bring out my MP3 player and listen to Feel Good Inc., Dirty Harry, Clint Eastwood over and over and over until the lyrics are burned into my brain. *squeezes head*

you like Blur too, that's awesome, everyone usually laughs at me when I tell them I like Blur. That's if they actually know who Blur is.

I agree with all of you, but must point out one flaw. The band is simply Gorillaz. Not "The Gorillaz" or anything of the sort. I, a pretty true-blue Gorillaz fan, am ashamed that the masses [a generalization] only know the band through Feel Good Inc. I liked the song before it went mainstream [not to brag]. . .but afterwards, I personally lost interest for that song. I no longer associate Gorillaz with their hit songs, but rather than the songs that mean a lot to me because they're just, well, good! Sure, they mostly don't make much sense, but I think that if they're putting time into producing a CD with other songs, shouldn't we think about the time and effort they put into writing the other songs that may not be as popular?

I agree. I don't just listen to Feel Good Inc. I like it, but I do not "worship" it. I have some of their CDs. I mainly like their most recent CD, Demon Days. And thanks for pointing, "The Gorillaz" mistake for me.

I'm not into the whole "scene" music or even the music that's "underground". I just listen to what I like. I've listened to the Gorillaz since their first CD but I don't really care which of their songs are hits. I just listen to what I like whether or not someone else thinks it's a hit or not.
Why go around worrying about what other people care about what you like when it's your preference?

I'm with you all the way. Oh, and by the way, no problem. Anybody can make a mistake like that. :)

I understand what you mean. I'm a lot like you, its just that a lot of my favourite bands make it big time. I never say, "Oh, I can't listen to that because its not underground/because its mainstream" - I listen to what I enjoy. Heck, tonight my dad introduced me to a oooold Beetles song that was practically all over when he was a senior in highschool. :lmao: You wouldn't believe how long ago that was.
Oh, and on the last comment you made, to whom is that directed?

Well, it was to you, obviously. :P But it was a generalized statement in response to what you said, so it wasn't exactly "to you". If you get what I mean.
Either way, yeah, I listen to every genre of music that I can. If I like any music, I'll listen to it. That includes music from the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's... etc etc.

Gorillaz are great. Blur is great (bless the dead bands soul).
Both are plainly known. Save for Blur's song 2 being in every commercial ever... which makes them probably one of the most recognised bands on earth.

Yeah. Music is awesome. It is a big part of my family. I sing and write songs and play the guitar, my mom does the exact same thing, my brother is in a band called, Cassius (just becoming famous) and it is metal. He is the electric guitarist, my other brother writes songs and is in a small band that plays metal for fun. He also plays electric guitar.
I love both anime and music.

The Gorillaz aren't bad. They don't exactly dabble in my favourite genres, but I dig their groove.
And who doesn't know Blur?
Song 2.
Fucking iconic.
