Set in a post World World war time, Appleseed's main character, Deunan Knute, fights to survive as one of the last true warriors of her generation. Little does she know that the Wars have since ended and she's only been fighting in meaningless battles without information from the outside world. This action packed movie has its share of plot changes and amazing action sequences.

Presently Deunan's been tracked down and taken back to the city that now Governs the world, Olympus. In this peaceful place she finds that there are humans and "Boiroids", or cloned/manufactured humans. She learns of the peace of the city and the eventual plot that the humans want to take out the bioroids while the 'Appleseed' threatens human existence. All the while Deunan meets up with her old lover whom she thought was dead, Briarios, who is now a cyborg and is part of a military organization that was made to keep the peace.

The world faces crises yet again and needs a true warrior to be their savior. Deunan steps up to the plate, ready for the challenge, and ready to learn the secrets of her past that may be the key to their future.
